We’ve all had moments that were too difficult to even comprehend that we could make it through. Moments where we didn’t have the strength, when it looked like everyone was against you and the suffering you were facing was not going to end. Maybe it was even a suffering for a wrong you hadn’t done.
- Read Psalm 69
In the New Living Translation
- Devotional Thought
Psalm 69, another Psalm of prophecy and to remind us of the journey Christ took to the death, reminds us again of the suffering and unjust nature of what He endured for us. It made no sense to continue walking, to continue caring. We forget that He could’ve walked away. He didn’t cry out for fleshly redemption or for everyone to know that He wasn’t to blame, that this wasn’t his fault.
In this prophecy, we see the hope, we see it beaming through in different ways and means showing us that life after death isn’t some far fetched idea but a real life prospective. That as we have heard over again and again, we will face trials in this world but they have been overcome.
- Passage to focus on
“But I keep praying to you, Lord, hoping this time you will show me favor. In your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with your sure salvation.”
Psalms 69:13 NLT

A lifebouy... When the waters get rough and we can't see where we are going, the Lord is our lifebouy to cling to ~ our saving help in all sorts of trials.
- Prayer
Father God,
Thank you that you are always ready to catch us when the going gets tough. When the waters are rough and we don't know where we will get another breath. Remind us that you are there to catch us when we fall if ever we doubt you.
You are our saviour in every kind of storm!
- Active idea
Remember all the times when you thought you weren't going to make it through before. Write down the promises of times before to remind you that He has always beem sovereign and He will continue to be.
Thank you for joining me today! Hope to see you again soon!
Have a blessed Lent
