(Daniel 2vs21 NIV)
"He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the discerning."
What if God made the seasons to remind us that just as nature is not a machine and neither are we....
What if the ebb and flo of spring, summer, autumn and winter is there to reflect God’s kindness and Grace over all of creation.
What if we can learn from the seemingly deadness of winter that in times of quiet, we are resting and restoring our inner purpose and potential.
What if we can learn from the spring that there is a brightness and a newness to the beginning of every sunrise.
What if we can learn from summer that in the play of long, warm and sunny days can be both our most productive and yet still become whole and refuelled.
And in Autumn.
What if we can learn from autumn that change is good. Change allows new things. Change brings new colour, new textures, new tastes and smells, new activities and new life as it gently reminds us that the darkness of winter is coming… but that it’s ok because the darkness is where the roots are.
So what if we step into today praising God for His wonder working glory when He made the beauty of creation and embrace the season He’s giving us in the very moment we are in right now!
