When Jesus surrendered His position in the Heavenly realm for His position on earth, He would’ve known the end from the beginning and would’ve known that one day He His mortal body would end up in the hands of men who did have His best intentions at heart. I wonder what it would’ve been like to firstly have one of your best friends friends let you down and then to stand in front of officials who wanted nothing more than to harm you.

- Devotional Thought
Jesus, each day we have come to prepare for Easter, we have read of how much good you did alongside how much wrong was done to you. Yet you never changed your mind about your mission to the cross. Sure, you responded to their questions, but you never tried to convince prove.
You spoke the truth and then you were silent. We admire your strength to know who you were and have confidence in your calling and even when others didn’t see or accept you, you stood firm in who amd whose you were.
- Passage to focus on
““If you are the Messiah,” they said, “tell us.” Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe me, and if I asked you, you would not answer. But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God.” They all asked, “Are you then the Son of God?” He replied, “You say that I am.””
Luke 22:67-70 NIV

- Prayer
Our God, We admire your strength and we thank you for your endurance along the road to the cross. For the friends that betrayed you and the people who scorned, mocked and scarred you… you still loved. We ask for that same kind of love in our lives so that we can tell others about you and the ways of the kingdom.
- Active idea
Is there someone who has treated you unkindly that you need to forgive? Today, as you read about the amends Jesus made that we so unfair and unjust, remember people who need your forgiveness and pray for them and release them to your Father in Heaven.
Thank you for joining me today! Hope to see you again soon!
Have a blessed Lent
