(Matthew 6vs30~33 MSG)
“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met."
If God watches over the flowers of the field and the bird of the air, the waters of the ocean and the animals in the wild… don’t you think He’ll care so much more for you!
You, the one in whom He placed His Spirit and embedded His Love.
If He sees every lily, rose and tulip, every butterfly, bee and hummingbird, every dolphin, whale and seahorse, every giraffe, elephant and lion…
you can wholeheartedly believe that He sees everything that you’re going through.
For the flourishing and the dying, the pruning and the blossoming… He cares enough to send His only Son, to bankrupt Heaven in an exchange so great that all our combined effort to strive for perfection would NEVER add up to cover the cost He paid.
So next time it’s too much, too painful, too hard, too overwhelming…. Next time the storm or the sunshine come, know that He’s there and He’s caring deeply for you!
