Life in the Spirit means that you are no longer bound to your own thinking. But are lead to higher ground when the Spirit influences you. This isn’t about power or control... it's about comfort, guiding and gentle leading.
You are adopted into the Kingdom of Heaven, but this is an adoption of respect. We die to ourselves and we are alive to Christ…

- Devotional Thought
If we are too wrapped up and concerned with our 'suffering' and trials, we will take away from ourselves the possibility of recieving a tast of the glory of the world to come right now, today. If nothing can separate us from the love of Christ, then that means that nothing we go through in our time here could ever dictate the nature of or God. And if we know the nature of our God to be love, then how could we let anything take us away from the joy of walking in His love everyday?
Each time we open the scriptures, we have the chance to remind ourselves that nothing we experience here on earth could ever determine our God. And if we know our God to be sovereign over all things, then His nature determines our experience... not our experiences determining themselves!
God IS over all and nothing can separate us from that goodness.
- Passage to focus on
“Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”
Romans 8:18-19, 23, 38 NLT

No height and no depth can separate us from the Love of Christ.
- Prayer
Father,
We thank you that you truly are above everything in our lives. We are sorry for the times we have forgotten your sovereignty, and we remind ourselves again that you are greater and far better than anything we experience today, good and bad!
- Active idea
If nothing can separate us from the love of Christ, how could we ever let our circumstances hold a grip on our joy? Yet we all do, we all have moments where we forget that God is above it all and over it all. Is there an area in your life where you have taken God out of, thinking that He couldn't possibly be in control. But He is and the more we try to hide from Him, the more of a disservice we do to ourselves.
Thank you for joining me today! Hope to see you again soon!
Have a blessed Lent
