Jesus wouldn't have come as the Light of the world if this world didn't have darkness.
The valley, the loneliness, the struggle, the weakness, the uncertainty, the trial.... if we let it, they can be the very things that show Jesus' light the brightest.
"Closer to God" by Anne Wilson is a song that speaks of His closeness even in the moment when we think He furtherest.
"In every hour that felt too dark
In every moment He felt far
Every time I felt like He forgot
Didn’t know I was closer to God."
Every time there is a mountain to overcome, the enemy wants you to think that God's not there.
But the truth is that He's closer than ever.
Whether you're in the best place of your life or in the darkest moment, nothing in your life can disqualify God's nearness.

He's the tears in my eyes whether they are tears of Joy or tears of trauma.

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
So the Pharisees said to him, “You are bearing witness about yourself; your testimony is not true.”
Jesus answered, “Even if I do bear witness about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going."
I chose this song to dance to because it's beautiful in truth and it's beautiful in everylasting
promise. Even when Jesus spoke of His light, He also spoke of our limited understanding.
His story spans far further than our here and now.
His Testimony is true and His testimony in your life is beautiful, if you give it to Him, he can use it to bring others to His love!

"They ask why I lift my hands in Worship,
well, isn't that what a child does when it wants to be held."
